Recent forecasts for Panama City highlight scattered thunderstorms and elevated humidity as the dominant controls capping the August 24 maximum near 32–33 °C. In Panama’s wet-season regime, frequent convective clouds and showers reduce incoming solar radiation while high moisture content suppresses surface heating, keeping readings aligned with long-term August averages of roughly 30–32 °C. Minor differences among model runs hinge on the precise timing and areal coverage of storms, which can either enhance or limit afternoon warming by a degree or two. Market-implied odds cluster tightly around these values because traders weigh the consistent guidance from regional meteorological sources against the inherent variability of tropical convection.
