This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Chaudhary Charan Singh Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 28 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=vilk If NOAA data is unavailable or missing for the observation period, Weather Underground will be used as the secondary resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
Monsoon-driven cloud cover, scattered thunderstorms, and high humidity are anchoring trader expectations for Lucknow’s peak temperature on August 28, 2026, near 32–33 °C. Official India Meteorological Department (IMD) guidance and multiple numerical forecasts project a daytime maximum of 31–34 °C under generally cloudy skies, with isolated rain or thundershowers expected to limit surface heating. Recent observations show prior-day maxima of 34.1 °C and ongoing light drizzle or overcast conditions that have kept temperatures from climbing higher, consistent with typical August monsoon climatology where mean highs hover around 33–34 °C but are frequently suppressed by precipitation and reduced insolation. Model consensus and early-day readings (hovering near 27–30 °C with “feels-like” values elevated by humidity) reinforce the narrow 32–33 °C window as the most probable outcome, while probabilities for 35 °C or above remain low due to the active rain pattern and limited clearing expected through the afternoon. Market-implied odds closely track these official forecasts and the moderating influence of monsoon dynamics, with resolution hinging on the day’s verified maximum from authorized stations.
