This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Traders heavily favor a 33°C high (59% implied probability) for Lucknow on August 24, 2026, with 32°C and 34°C as secondary outcomes, reflecting active monsoon conditions that typically cap daytime peaks. Persistent cloud cover, high humidity (often 70-90%), and scattered thunderstorms or rain reduce solar insolation and evaporative cooling effects, keeping maximum temperatures in the low-to-mid 30s°C during late August in the Gangetic plains. Recent official guidance from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and station data show recent maxima near 33-35°C with departures of +1-2°C from normal, alongside forecasts for generally cloudy skies with spells of rain or thundershowers and a predicted high around 34°C. Live observations mid-morning on the 24th hovered near 32-34°C (roughly 90-93°F), with models and hourly trends pointing to limited further rise due to increasing convective activity. Historical monsoon climatology for Lucknow supports this range, where intense rainfall events and widespread cloudiness commonly suppress extremes above 35°C. The market's tight clustering around 32-34°C aligns with this consensus of moderate heating under humid, unsettled conditions, though any break in cloud cover or delayed precipitation could allow brief spikes toward 34-35°C. Resolution will hinge on the official IMD maximum recorded at Lucknow stations by day's end.
