This market will resolve based on the highest temperature recorded in the 'Daily Observations' table on Weather Underground, not the figure displayed in the 'Day High & Low' summary section; in the event of any discrepancy between the two, the Daily Observations table shall be the primary resolution source not the Day High & Low section. This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Chaudhary Charan Singh Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 14 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Chaudhary Charan Singh Intl Airport Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/in/lucknow/VILK. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Monsoon-driven cloud cover and convective activity are the dominant factors shaping trader sentiment for Lucknow's August 14 maximum temperature. Official India Meteorological Department guidance forecasts a maximum near 32°C under partly-to-generally cloudy skies with spells of rain or thundershowers and thunderstorm warnings, consistent with the intensification of monsoon activity across Uttar Pradesh beginning August 13. This setup reduces incoming solar radiation through increased cloudiness and evaporative cooling from precipitation, suppressing daytime highs relative to the clearer, hotter conditions observed on August 13 (around 37°C). Model consensus and historical August climatology (typical highs 31–33°C amid active monsoon) support the tight clustering of market-implied odds around 30–33°C. Key differentiating variables include the exact timing and coverage of thundershowers, which can trim 1–3°C from the peak depending on onset before or after the daily maximum; the position of the monsoon trough; and any short-term model shifts in convective available potential energy. With probabilities closely split, traders are pricing residual uncertainty in rainfall timing and intensity rather than a single deterministic outcome.
