Forecast models and National Weather Service guidance indicate a high near 80–83°F for Chicago on August 28, 2026, under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with light southerly winds. This range aligns with the climatological average high of 81.3°F and recent conditions featuring modest warming without strong advection or cloud cover to suppress temperatures. Trader consensus, reflected in the dominant 82–83°F market share, incorporates these official forecasts while accounting for typical model spread and urban heat island effects that can add 1–2°F locally. No significant frontal passage or precipitation is expected to alter the outcome before peak heating.
