This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Cape Town International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 26 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=fact To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Recent model guidance from the South African Weather Service and numerical forecasts points to a high-pressure ridge over the Western Cape favoring partly cloudy skies, light variable winds, and reduced maritime cooling, supporting daily maxima in the mid-20s°C range for Cape Town on August 26. This setup contrasts with the month’s climatological average near 17–18°C and follows a series of earlier cold fronts that kept recent readings lower. Trader consensus reflected in the leading 24–26°C outcomes incorporates these conditions alongside typical model spread and the potential for slight intensification if afternoon heating exceeds expectations, while lower probabilities on 22–23°C or 27°C+ outcomes align with the narrower uncertainty band in short-range guidance ahead of the daily maximum observation.
