This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Gimhae Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 24 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=rkpk To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
Current forecasts from models including GFS and ECMWF indicate mostly sunny conditions with southwest winds and highs of 31–32°C for Busan on August 24, following a peak near 33°C on the 23rd amid lingering late-summer warmth. Coastal marine influence and moderate humidity typically cap extremes, though urban heat island effects in the city can add 1–2°C locally. Recent August observations show occasional spikes above 35°C under clear, high-pressure setups, yet consensus model runs point to subdued intensification tomorrow. Market-implied odds favoring 35°C reflect trader weighting of potential measurement variability at official stations and slight upside risks if daytime heating exceeds guidance, while lower probabilities for 36°C+ align with climatological rarity this late in the season. Updated regional briefings from the Korea Meteorological Administration will refine resolution criteria ahead of daily maximum reporting.
