This market will resolve based on the highest temperature recorded in the 'Daily Observations' table on Weather Underground, not the figure displayed in the 'Day High & Low' summary section; in the event of any discrepancy between the two, the Daily Observations table shall be the primary resolution source not the Day High & Low section. This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Gimhae Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 20 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Gimhae Intl Airport Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/kr/busan/RKPK. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Official forecasts from the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) currently project a daytime maximum of 32°C in Busan for August 20, 2026, under mostly cloudy skies with a 30% chance of morning precipitation tapering off. This aligns closely with the market's leading outcomes at 32°C (23.5%) and 33°C (56.5%), as afternoon temperatures are expected to peak near or slightly above the forecast value amid high humidity typical of late summer in the region. Key scientific drivers include Busan's coastal subtropical climate, where sea breezes and cloud cover can moderate peaks, while residual monsoon moisture and warm sea-surface temperatures support readings in the low-to-mid 30s°C. The 34°C outcome (18%) remains plausible if model runs show less cloud cover or stronger insolation than currently anticipated. Historical August averages for Busan hover around 30–31°C, but recent seasonal warmth has kept probabilities concentrated on 32–33°C. Updated KMA guidance and any new model consensus ahead of the date will likely be the primary near-term catalysts for shifts in implied probabilities.
