This market will resolve according to the first individual officially registered to be the Vice Presidential candidate of Flavio Bolsonaro in the 2026 Brazil presidential elections. An announcement of candidate selection will not alone qualify. If Flavio Bolsonaro does not officially file a registration request to contest the 2026 Brazil presidential elections by August 15, 2026, 11:59 Brasilia time, this market will resolve to “Other”. Any subsequent substitution, replacement, withdrawal, disqualification, or other change to the initially registered vice-presidential candidate will not be considered. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Brazil, including the Superior Electoral Court (TSE, https://divulgacandcontas.tse.jus.br/).

Flavio Bolsonaro’s official announcement of Alfredo Gaspar as his vice-presidential running mate on August 5, 2026, has driven the near-certain trader consensus on this Liberal Party ticket for Brazil’s October presidential election. Weeks of internal party discussions and unsuccessful outreach to centrist or female candidates from other right-leaning parties left Gaspar, a first-term federal deputy from Alagoas and former prosecutor, as the selected choice to strengthen regional ties in the northeast. The formal nomination ended speculation and aligned with the campaign’s focus on continuity within the PL. Only extraordinary late developments, such as a withdrawal or major legal ruling altering eligibility before the vote, could realistically shift the outcome.
