Catalina Lauf holds the strongest position in the August 18 Republican primary for Florida’s open 19th congressional district, driven by recent endorsements from sitting House Republicans including Kat Cammack, Greg Steube, and Anna Paulina Luna, plus a late August poll showing her ahead of the field with substantial undecided voters. Jim Schwartzel trails as the closest competitor on name recognition and resources in the crowded ten-candidate contest to replace Byron Donalds, while Jim Oberweis maintains a smaller but measurable share. Madison Cawthorn and the remaining entrants register minimal support. Fundraising disclosures, local connections, and the short timeline to primary day continue to shape trader assessments of the frontrunner’s path.
