A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
Florida's 15th congressional district remains a solidly Republican seat heading into the November 2026 general election, with incumbent Laurel Lee advancing unopposed after the August 18 Republican primary was canceled. Forecasters including the Cook Political Report (Solid R) and Sabato's Crystal Ball (Likely R) cite the district's partisan lean, recent Republican performance in presidential and House voting, and Florida's broader electoral environment as key stabilizers. The Democratic nominee faces structural headwinds in fundraising, voter registration, and turnout patterns typical of this Tampa Bay-area district. While late-cycle developments such as a national partisan swing, candidate-specific events, or turnout surprises could narrow the margin, the combination of incumbency advantage and consistent Republican strength in the seat underpins the current market consensus reflected in the dominant probability for the Republican outcome.
