This market will resolve according to the candidate who wins the nomination for the Republican Party to contest the FL-14 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The Republican primary will take place on August 18, 2026. If no nominee is announced by November 3, 2026, 11:59PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official Republican sources, including https://www.rnc.org/. Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market.
Mike Beltran holds a modest edge in trader consensus for the FL-14 Republican primary, reflecting his background as a former state representative with district ties and a recent endorsement from U.S. Rep. Greg Steube. Kevin Steele, a sitting state legislator, remains competitive despite not residing in the newly redrawn Hillsborough-focused district that now tilts Republican. The race stays tight due to a crowded field of lesser-known challengers, limited public polling data, and overlapping appeals on core issues such as fiscal conservatism and border security. An August 18 primary vote leaves little time for late shifts, though strong turnout among specific voting blocs, additional high-profile endorsements, or candidate fundraising disclosures could widen the gap before ballots close.
