West Ham United sit as clear market leaders for promotion from the 2026/27 EFL Championship, reflecting trader consensus around their retained Premier League squad depth, wage structure, and parachute payments following relegation. Early table leaders Swansea City hold a narrow points edge after 11 matchweeks, yet longer odds reflect questions over squad sustainability across a 46-game campaign. Middlesbrough and Wolverhampton Wanderers occupy strong positions with competitive records, while Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion remain in the play-off picture. Recent results have tightened the top six, with goal difference and home/away splits already separating automatic promotion contenders from those eyeing the Wembley final. Relegated sides’ financial advantages continue to shape implied probabilities for automatic promotion or play-off qualification.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team achieves promotion from the EFL Championship to the Premier League for the 2027-28 season at the conclusion of the current league season. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Official promotion is defined as a team clinching a place in the Premier League for the 2027-28 season through their final standing in the EFL Championship, via playoff victory, or by any other official league decision recognized by the EFL Championship and Premier League. If the 2026-27 EFL Championship season is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there are no teams confirmed for promotion within that timeframe, the corresponding market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source will be official announcements from the EFL Championship and Premier League. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
