Houston hosts No. 18 Oklahoma State in a primetime Big 12 showdown at TDECU Stadium with conference title implications. The No. 20 Cougars enter at 5-1 (2-1) after a dominant 35-16 road win at Kansas State, powered by QB Conner Weigman’s efficiency and a run defense allowing just 74 yards per game nationally. The Cowboys (4-1, 2-0) arrive on a four-game win streak under first-year coach Eric Morris, led by QB Drew Mestemaker’s high-volume passing attack and a total offense averaging over 520 yards. Houston’s home-field edge and stout front seven face off against Oklahoma State’s explosive skill players and road momentum, while key Cougar injuries to linebacker Jaden Yates and defensive tackle De’Marion Thomas add uncertainty to the defensive front.
