UNLV enters the Halloween night matchup at Allegiant Stadium as a heavy favorite after its bye week, facing a Northern Illinois squad that remains winless at 0-7 overall and 0-3 in Mountain West play. The Rebels sit at 4-3 and 2-1 in conference, controlling their path to the league title game, while the Huskies rank near the bottom nationally in scoring offense, red-zone efficiency, and defensive stop rate after surrendering 56 points and over 500 yards to Hawai’i. UNLV quarterback Jackson Arnold and running back Jai’Den Thomas provide dual-threat production, though the defense must correct run-defense lapses exposed at Air Force. Northern Illinois relies on wide receiver DeAree Rogers and running back Telly Johnson Jr. for its limited production, with historical series wins offering little recent relevance against the current talent and situational gap. Trader consensus reflects these form, rest, and home advantages heading into the contest.
