Lula holds the strongest position in Tocantins for first place in the October 4, 2026 first round, reflecting his status as incumbent president and consistent national polling leads over main challenger Flávio Bolsonaro. Regional surveys, including a June Real Time Big Data poll, showed the two candidates statistically tied at 37% in the state, yet trader consensus assigns Lula the clear edge. Flávio Bolsonaro's campaign has faced headwinds from earlier family disputes and unrelated audio releases, limiting right-wing consolidation in the Northern region. Minor candidates such as Ronaldo Caiado, Renan Santos, and Romeu Zema register minimal support in available data. Upcoming debates and any shifts in economic indicators or turnout patterns in Tocantins could still influence final positioning before election day.
