Trader consensus assigns the highest probability to no change in the Bank of Israel policy rate at its September meeting, reflecting the recent series of cuts that brought the benchmark to 3.5 percent amid stable inflation near the midpoint of the target range. Economic indicators show continued recovery with projected GDP growth of 4 percent for 2026, supported by a strong shekel and reduced risk premium. While the governor has signaled scope for further easing over the medium term, the pause following consecutive reductions allows time to evaluate incoming data on prices and activity before the next decision.
