Alexander Zverev enters the Cincinnati Open fourth-round matchup as the top seed and ATP No. 3, fresh off his first Grand Slam title at the 2026 Roland Garros and a straight-sets win over Terence Atmane. The German holds an overall head-to-head edge and strong recent hard-court results after navigating an opening-round victory over Cameron Norrie. Tommy Paul, ranked No. 24 with a 33-15 season record, advanced past Hubert Hurkacz and has shown resilience in tight matches this year, including multiple clay-court finals. The hard-court surface and Zverev’s superior ranking and momentum position him as the clear favorite in trader consensus, though Paul’s consistent baseline game and prior upset potential keep the contest competitive. No major injury concerns have surfaced for either player ahead of the August 19 clash.
