Coleman Wong, the world No. 92 and top seed, enters the Guangzhou Challenger semifinal as the clear favorite against world No. 280 Yi Zhou on outdoor hard courts. Wong arrives on strong recent form, advancing with straight-sets victories including a 7-6(4), 6-1 quarterfinal win, while holding a 1-0 head-to-head edge from a three-set victory in the 2025 Seoul Challenger semifinal. Both players reached the final four with three wins apiece and benefit from a rest day. Zhou, a 21-year-old Chinese player, has shown competitive upside with recent upsets at the Shanghai Masters, but Wong’s higher ranking, superior hard-court experience, and tournament momentum shape trader consensus around his elevated implied win probability.
