Thiago Seyboth Wild enters the Genoa Challenger first-round match on clay against lower-ranked Italian Gianmarco Ferrari as the clear favorite, backed by his career-high ranking of 58, multiple prior Challenger titles including a 2023 win in this event, and stronger recent form on the surface with wins in Como and a final in Zug. The Brazilian right-hander holds a substantial edge in experience and results at the Challenger level, where Ferrari has primarily competed in ITF events with limited success against higher competition. Surface familiarity, home-crowd support for the Italian, and any late fitness updates remain secondary variables that could influence the outcome in this clay-court encounter.
