Harry Wendelken faces Stefano Travaglia in US Open qualifying on outdoor hard courts, with the higher-ranked Italian (No. 140) holding a ranking edge over the British No. 203. Travaglia brings greater experience and recent Challenger results on the surface, though both players arrive with mixed recent form after summer hard-court events. Wendelken, who reached career-high ranking territory in 2026 and posted strong hard-court records earlier in the year, benefits from youth and momentum in lower-tier events. The match marks their first meeting, with no established head-to-head to influence outcomes. Key variables include serve effectiveness on the faster hard courts and any late fitness updates ahead of the scheduled start.
