Lorenzo Sonego holds a narrow edge in trader consensus for this Winston-Salem Open round-of-16 clash on outdoor hard courts, driven by his 2-0 head-to-head record and straight-sets victory over ninth seed Adrian Mannarino in the prior round. The Italian, ranked 91, converted key break points and closed out a tiebreak to reach his first quarterfinal of the season. James Duckworth, ranked 79 and on a strong run with straight-sets wins over qualifier Quinn Vandecasteele and sixth seed Mariano Navone, brings momentum and a 23-21 record in 2026 while chasing his first ATP title as a US Open tune-up. The evenly matched contest on a surface suiting both players' serve-return games, combined with Duckworth's recent form and Sonego's historical edge, explains the tight implied probabilities near 55-45. No confirmed injuries or late changes alter the setup.
