Alexis Galarneau holds a modest edge over Keegan Smith in the US Open qualifying draw on hard courts, driven by his higher ATP ranking near 185 and stronger recent form on the Challenger circuit, including a straight-sets win over Dino Prizmić. Smith, ranked around 198 with a career-high of 195, brings solid serve statistics and a competitive 64-31 record over the past year but enters after mixed results in North American events. With no prior head-to-head meetings, surface familiarity and current momentum favor the Canadian, though both players’ limited main-tour experience at this stage keeps the matchup competitive. Traders should monitor official warm-up results and any late injury updates ahead of the scheduled start.
