Anton Shepp holds a substantial experience and ranking edge over 17-year-old Briton Mark Ceban in their first-round Roehampton Challenger encounter on hard courts. The 23-year-old New Zealander, ranked in the low 400s after a mixed North American swing and an ITF title win in late 2025, faces a player still primarily competing at ITF and junior levels with a ranking near 2100. Ceban’s recent activity in local M25 events and strong junior pedigree provide some momentum and home-soil familiarity near London, yet the significant gap in professional match volume and consistency favors Shepp’s established baseline game. No prior head-to-head exists, leaving form, physical conditioning, and adaptation to Challenger intensity as the decisive variables.
