Tristan Schoolkate enters this US Open qualifying first-round match as the clear favorite due to his ATP ranking near 180-188 and career-high of 95, along with prior main-draw appearances at the tournament. The Australian has accumulated substantial professional experience on hard courts despite a recent dip in form. Jack Secord, a low-ranked American around 1,900 who secured entry via the wild-card challenge, brings junior pedigree and recent qualifying wins over lower-level opponents but lacks comparable senior-level results or depth. Surface conditions on the hard courts and any late fitness updates remain the primary variables that could influence the outcome in this ATP qualifier.
