Andrey Rublev enters the first-round Rolex Paris Masters clash against Tomas Martin Etcheverry as the consensus favorite on indoor hard, buoyed by his higher ranking and stronger historical results on the surface despite both players arriving in poor form. Rublev has dropped his last four matches, including a straight-sets defeat to Tommy Paul in Vienna, leaving him 0-2 indoors in 2026. Etcheverry sits on a nine-match losing streak across recent hard-court events in Vienna, Almaty, Shanghai, and Tokyo. Their head-to-head stands at 1-1 overall, with Rublev leading on hard courts, though the Argentine has shown occasional competitiveness in longer rallies. The indoor conditions and Rublev’s serve-return baseline edge underpin current trader pricing.
