The 25-year-old Frenchman has shown improved hard-court results this season following earlier losses to players like Stefanos Tsitsipas. Marcos Giron, ranked No. 83 and a veteran with a career-high of No. 37, brings extensive ATP experience but enters with an 11-17 record in 2026, including early exits in recent Masters events and a third-round run at Wimbledon. The 33-year-old American competes on familiar hard-court surfaces in a home-country event, though his recent results reflect inconsistency against top competition. No prior head-to-head exists, making current form, surface suitability, and physical freshness key variables for this first-round matchup.
