Gabriele Piraino holds a ranking edge (around No. 363-404) and strong recent clay form over Dusan Obradovic (No. 472-496), including a title at the preceding Plovdiv 2 Challenger where he defeated several higher-seeded players. The Italian left-hander has compiled a solid 2026 clay record and benefits from familiarity with the red-clay conditions in Plovdiv. Obradovic, a Serbian right-hander, leads their head-to-head 1-0 after a straight-sets win on clay in January 2026, but has primarily competed at ITF level with mixed recent results. As a first-round Challenger match on outdoor clay, surface preference, current form, and ranking differentials shape trader consensus around Piraino as the clearer favorite, though upsets remain possible given both players' experience at this level.
