Dhakshineswar Suresh enters this Winston-Salem Open qualifying first-round match as the clear favorite against lower-ranked Roger Pascual Ferra, reflecting a substantial ATP ranking gap (400 versus 682) and Suresh’s career-high of 353. The 6’5” Indian, a former Wake Forest standout with strong local ties to the hard-court venue, brings greater experience and a recent ATP-level record of 3-1, including solid form heading into the event. Pascual Ferra, a 20-year-old Spaniard with a career high of 673, has shown promise in ITF and Challenger qualifying but faces a tough stylistic test against the taller, more established opponent. Home-court familiarity and seeding further support trader consensus favoring Suresh advancing, though the younger player’s recent competitive matches keep upset potential alive in best-of-three format.
