Gauthier Onclin enters the US Open qualifying first round as the clear favorite against Vitaliy Sachko on outdoor hard courts, backed by his ATP ranking of 158 versus Sachko’s 188, a stronger 2026 win rate exceeding 70 percent in recent matches, and a 2-0 head-to-head edge that includes victories on hard and clay. Onclin has posted consistent Challenger results on hard surfaces this summer while climbing to a career-high ranking, whereas Sachko has struggled with a sub-50 percent win rate in his past 10 outings and multiple qualifying losses on clay. The surface and Onclin’s edge in recent form and deciding-set reliability underpin trader consensus favoring the Belgian to advance.
