Rinderknech holds the ranking edge at No. 29 over Munar’s No. 55 and leads recent hard-court form entering their US Open second-round match. The pair split their prior two meetings, with Munar taking the most recent on hard courts in Miami 2025. Both players survived tough first-round tests on the same surface, but Munar’s five-set comeback against Atmane lasted nearly five hours after dropping the opening two sets, raising fatigue concerns ahead of another best-of-five. Rinderknech’s four-set win over Shimabukuro featured stronger serving efficiency, supporting trader consensus around his implied probability in the matchup.
