Lui Maxted enters as the stronger favorite against Anton Shepp in this Roehampton 2 Challenger hard-court match, backed by a higher ATP ranking near 403 versus Shepp’s 498 and a 1-0 head-to-head edge that includes a three-set win. The British 22-year-old has shown solid recent form with a victory over Matteo Martineau in the same event, while the New Zealand 23-year-old recently fell to Mark Ceban. Maxted benefits from home-soil familiarity and consistent results on the surface, though both players remain outside the top 400 with limited main-tour experience, leaving room for variance in an early-round challenger encounter.
