Ognjen Milic enters the Plovdiv 3 Challenger first-round clash as the clear favorite based on his higher ATP ranking near the top 500 and dominant recent results on clay, including multiple straight-set wins in lower-level events leading into this tournament. The Serbian left-hander holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge after defeating George Lazarov 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 on the same surface in an August 2025 ITF final. Lazarov, a 21-year-old Bulgarian receiving a wild card, brings local support and solid recent form in regional clay events but trails significantly in overall consistency and professional experience. Clay-court movement, serve returns, and baseline rallies will likely decide the outcome in this best-of-three match.
