Benjamin Hassan enters the Sion Challenger round of 32 as the higher-ranked player with a career-high ATP singles mark of 143, though his 2026 form has been inconsistent at roughly 12-15. The 31-year-old Lebanese right-hander brings greater experience on outdoor hard courts compared with 24-year-old Ukrainian Oleksandr Ovcharenko, who sits near No. 613 after reaching a career peak of 296 in early 2025. Ovcharenko arrives after a recent qualifier win in Sion and holds a narrow head-to-head edge from a 2023 Davis Cup meeting, yet his limited main-draw results this season leave him as the underdog. Surface conditions, recent match volume, and both players’ serve percentages will shape the outcome in this first-round encounter.
