Cruz Hewitt holds the clear edge in this Winston-Salem Open first-round match on outdoor hard courts as the higher-ranked player at No. 376 with a recent ATP breakthrough that included his first tour-level victory over Marcos Giron in Washington. The 17-year-old wild card has shown the ability to compete at this level despite his age and limited main-draw experience. Sebastian Gorzny, a 22-year-old lucky loser ranked outside the top 700, enters making his ATP main-draw debut after strong qualifying results and a solid college background, but faces a significant step up in competition against a younger opponent with growing momentum and better recent form on the surface. Trader consensus reflects Hewitt’s ranking advantage and proven ATP results as the primary drivers.
