Taylor Fritz enters the US Open third round with dominant hard-court form, having dropped just two games across his first two matches while firing double-digit aces and limiting errors. The No. 9 seed and world No. 10 holds a clear edge in ranking, recent results, and serve effectiveness on the fast surface against No. 24 seed Francisco Cerundolo. Cerundolo advanced via a straight-sets opener but endured a grueling five-setter featuring 48 winners and extended time on court, potentially impacting recovery ahead of the matchup. Their head-to-head stands even, though prior meetings occurred on clay; this marks their first hard-court encounter. Trader consensus reflects Fritz's superior momentum and home-crowd support as the primary drivers of current implied probabilities.
