Arthur Fery enters the Winston-Salem Open quarterfinal as the No. 4 seed and world No. 37, riding strong recent form that includes a Wimbledon semifinal run, a Queen’s Club quarterfinal, and eight wins in his last ten matches. The Brit has dropped just one set across two straight-sets victories in the tournament and benefits from an extra rest day compared with his opponent. Aleksandar Kovacevic, ranked No. 89, arrives on a three-match winning streak highlighted by a straight-sets upset of seventh seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, though he has played one more match than Fery. The pair has no prior head-to-head record; Fery holds the edge in ranking and recent hard-court results, while Kovacevic’s powerful serve offers potential to disrupt. This matchup reflects trader consensus favoring the higher-ranked player’s momentum on outdoor hard courts.
