Titouan Droguet enters this US Open qualifying opener as the clear favorite against Daniel Rincon, reflecting his higher ATP ranking near No. 111 and stronger recent results on hard courts. The 25-year-old Frenchman has logged main-draw experience at the Montreal and Cincinnati Masters this summer, posting wins over players like Alexei Popyrin and reaching competitive sets against top-40 opposition. Rincon, ranked around No. 206 and primarily active on clay Challengers, brings less hard-court seasoning and faces a step up in class for this best-of-three match on the Flushing Meadows outer courts. Both players lack prior head-to-head history, leaving serve-and-return trends and break-point conversion as key variables on the fast hard surface.
