Ram/Salisbury bring extensive US Open experience and Grand Slam pedigree as former three-time champions at the event, with strong recent first-round results including tiebreak wins over Gonzalez/Smith. The veteran American-British pair benefits from familiarity with hard-court conditions and high-stakes doubles pressure. Arribagé/Olivetti, the 10th seeds, arrive with momentum after strong Masters 1000 showings in Montreal and Cincinnati plus a first-round victory over Bonzi/Rinderknech in straight sets. Their current form and seeding reflect solid recent results, creating a matchup where the French duo's athleticism and serving could challenge the veterans' tactical edge in the second round.
