Raphael Collignon enters the Winston-Salem Open round of 32 as the higher-ranked player at No. 38 against No. 85 Rinky Hijikata on outdoor hard courts, though the Belgian arrives on a four-match losing streak after strong earlier results that lifted him to a career-high ranking. Collignon earned a first-round bye and brings superior overall results against top-100 opponents plus improved serve production, while Hijikata arrives with fresh momentum after defeating Darwin Blanch and a solid hard-court record that includes multiple lower-level titles on the surface. The pair has no prior head-to-head, making recent form, rest advantage, and hard-court consistency the primary variables shaping outcomes in this closely matched ATP 250 encounter.
