Marin Cilic enters the Seoul Challenger first-round matchup against Zhizhen Zhang as the clear favorite on outdoor hard courts, reflecting trader consensus around a 60-65% implied win probability driven by his higher ranking near No. 84-96, superior career record, and 1-0 head-to-head edge that includes a 2024 Hangzhou final win on the same surface. Both players show similar 2026 win rates near 45% amid inconsistent recent form, with Cilic dropping his opener in Almaty and Zhang exiting early in Guangzhou, yet Cilic's greater experience, stronger first-serve effectiveness, and tiebreak history provide the edge in what projects as a competitive encounter potentially decided in tiebreaks or tight sets. No confirmed injuries or late withdrawals alter the field, though the hard-court conditions and Cilic's serve could limit Zhang's baseline opportunities.
