Pablo Carreño Busta faces Adolfo Daniel Vallejo in the Winston-Salem Open round of 64 on outdoor hard courts. The 35-year-old Spaniard (No. 72) brings extensive ATP experience and a career record exceeding 290 wins, though his 2026 singles mark stands at 9-12 after a first-round Cincinnati win over Machac and a loss to Rublev. The 22-year-old Paraguayan (No. 70) has posted a 10-9 record this season, highlighted by consecutive Cincinnati victories over Jacquet and Vacherot before falling to Paul. With nearly identical rankings and no prior head-to-head meetings, the matchup pits Carreno Busta’s proven consistency and serve against Vallejo’s recent hard-court momentum and youth. Both players arrive after the Cincinnati event, with surface familiarity and current form shaping trader consensus on the closely contested outcome.
