Bu Yunchaokete enters the US Open qualifying second round with a narrow edge over Borna Gojo, driven by his higher ATP ranking near 124 versus Gojo’s 162, a 1-0 head-to-head lead from their 2024 US Open qualifying meeting (won 6-4, 6-4 on hard courts), and stronger recent hard-court results. Both players advanced from first-round qualifying on August 25—Bu defeating Rio Noguchi in three sets and Gojo beating Zdenek Kolar in straight sets—setting up a baseline-oriented matchup on outdoor hard. Bu’s career-high ranking of 64 and improved second-serve hold percentages in recent months provide traders with the primary context for the current implied probability favoring the Chinese player in this closely contested encounter.
