The Belgian holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge over Andrea Pellegrino, secured in straight sets on hard courts in 2022, and enters with four days of rest compared to the Italian’s two. Pellegrino, ranked No. 135 with a career-high of 109, arrives after a three-set victory in the opening round against Nishesh Basavareddy but faces a significant ranking and experience gap on indoor hard courts. Bergs’ superior recent results and rest edge shape the matchup dynamics.
