Felix Balshaw enters the Winston-Salem Open qualifying first round as the clear favorite against wildcard Luca Pow on outdoor hard courts. The French 20-year-old, ranked No. 254 with a career-high of 246, holds a strong 36-15 record in 2026 across ITF and Challenger events, including solid hard-court results in recent weeks. Pow, a 21-year-old British player ranked outside the top 980 and studying at Wake Forest University, received the local wildcard but brings limited professional experience and a mixed 10-7 record this season at lower ITF levels. No prior head-to-head exists, and the ranking disparity plus Balshaw’s greater consistency on the surface define trader consensus around the outcome.
