Felipe Meligeni Alves enters this Cancun hard-court encounter ranked outside the top 550 while Moise Kouame sits near No. 214 with a career high of 211. The 17-year-old Frenchman has already secured ATP main-draw wins, including at the Miami Open, and reached later rounds at Roland Garros, giving him superior recent form against higher-level competition. Alves, a 30-year-old Brazilian, arrives with strong local momentum after consecutive victories in the same tournament, including a straight-sets win over Luka Pavlovic and a three-set battle against Dali Blanch. No prior head-to-head exists, and both players appear fit with no reported injuries or withdrawals. Surface speed and Kouame’s serve reach remain the key variables likely to shape the outcome.
