A tight contest for second place in Acre's Senate race stems from an open field of experienced candidates vying for the state's two seats in the October 2026 election. Recent polls from June and July show Jorge Viana (PT), Gladson Cameli (PP), and Márcio Bittar (PL) clustered near the top, with Mara Rocha (Republicanos) also competitive. Formal candidate registrations concluded in mid-August, campaigns launched shortly after, and a coalition split between PT and PSOL over Inácio Moreira's independent run added fragmentation. Traders price the outcome near even odds because multiple contenders hold strong name recognition and regional bases, while legal appeals involving Cameli's eligibility and limited post-campaign data leave room for shifts from voter turnout or late polling movements.
