The Venezuelan Primera División's 2026 campaign features a split Apertura-Clausura format leading into quadrangulares and playoffs, where multiple sides remain in realistic contention for the runner-up spot behind frontrunners like Metropolitanos. Recent results show tight mid-table battles, with Deportivo Táchira, Academia Puerto Cabello, Carabobo, and Universidad Central posting strong goal differentials and points hauls in the latest matchweeks while teams such as Deportivo La Guaira and Portuguesa maintain consistent form. This parity across the 14-team field, combined with remaining fixtures and the aggregate playoff structure, leaves no dominant candidate for second place. Trader consensus at even implied probabilities across listed clubs captures the league's competitive balance and the potential for late swings in standings.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the Venezuelan Primera División for the 2026 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Venezuelan Primera División for the 2026 season per the rules of Venezuelan Primera División (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the Venezuelan Primera División; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
