Nashville SC's commanding 12-point lead in the Supporters' Shield race has shifted trader focus squarely to the battle for second place, where Inter Miami CF, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, and a cluster of Eastern and Western Conference sides sit within striking distance with four regular-season matches remaining. Inter Miami's recent form, powered by Lionel Messi's scoring and playmaking, has kept the club competitive despite a midseason World Cup break, while Vancouver maintains strong Western Conference positioning through consistent results and a solid goal differential. St. Louis CITY SC's extended unbeaten streak and Philadelphia Union's late surge add further pressure, creating a tight implied probability spread as teams chase maximum points in a compressed schedule. This bunching reflects the league's parity, with home/away splits, injury management, and remaining fixtures poised to decide final order.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the MLS for the 2026 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of MLS for the 2026 season per the rules of MLS (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the MLS; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
