The 29-year-old Indian has reached a career-high of No. 229 and holds a stronger overall record, with recent hard-court wins in the event over Sumizawa and Srisen after navigating a knee injury recovery earlier in 2026. The 25-year-old Thai has posted straight-set victories over Pawit Sornlaksup and Hugo Hashimoto on home soil but carries a more modest 2026 win-loss mark and far less experience at higher competitive levels. Both players compete on their preferred hard surface in this ITF event, where Mukund’s greater depth and consistency typically translate to an edge in extended rallies.
